Begin your adventure in Svalbard, the northernmost archipelago on Earth and the starting point for many expeditions to the North Pole. Sail through the heart of untouched wilderness: a scientific haven that is as much a no-man’s-land as it is a land for all due to its extreme conditions. Prepare to encounter polar bears, walruses, reindeers, whales, seals and arctic foxes during this season when the sun never sets.
AN (A)TYPICAL DAY ON BOARD
Every day aboard Selar ships is a unique adventure. Receive a wakeup call announcing a polar bear in sight, savor a hearty breakfast, then set course for the Arctic tundra. Enjoy a midday lunch atop the world, followed by a cozy coffee break in a trapper’s hut. Explore uncharted territories by sail, then brave a thrilling plunge into -1.8°C waters. Return to the ship for a sauna, as warm as the friendly evening you'll share with the crew, serenaded by the sounds of glaciers.
