"SUNNY BOY"

Arthur Guérin-Boëri is a leading figure in his field and a name worth knowing.

He's a french professional freediver and five-time world champion in dynamic apnea.

Driven by a relentless quest for performance, he has pushed the limits of his body, setting two world records in ice diving—120 meters with a suit and 105 meters without—in water at 0.7°C. This feat is even more extraordinary when you consider that he hails from sunny Nice, in the south of France.

As the most decorated French freediver in history, Arthur is inspired by adventure and a profound connection to the power of nature.

He now dedicates himself to exploring the oceans, connecting with the people who live by and with them, and sharing his passion for freediving.

CONSCIOUS WHALE WATCHING

At Selar, in accordance with Arthur Guerin-Boëri and ethologists specializing in marine mammals, we believe whale watching can only be meaningful if it's done responsibly. To ensure a conscious, sustainable experience, we follow strict guidelines:

Minimize Disturbance: Our vessel sail silently with no vibrations

Respect Their Path: We never block or redirect whales, allowing them to continue their natural trajectory

Remote Locations: We venture into the most remote areas to ensure peaceful environments

Quality Over Quantity: we prefer a few meaningful moments with the orcas rather than chasing them or forcing encounters just to check off sessions

Certified Guides: Our expert, eco-conscious guides ensure responsible practices throughout each whale watching experience

ARTHUR'S WORD

Being disconnected from the outside world and deeply connected to the raw power of nature – the cold, icy waters, and wildlife – is, for me, the essence of this adventure. It’s a total immersion that pushes you out of your comfort zone and offers unforgettable experiences.

Through informal exchanges, lectures, and workshops, I aim to share my experience as a world-class free diver and the unique bond I’ve developed with the water and the cold.

And if the opportunity arises, reliving those intense and privileged moments alongside cetaceans with the passengers would be truly unforgettable.

Finally, participating in a scientific study conducted during this expedition gives lasting meaning to our journey, far beyond just a week of vacation.
